CRYSTAL BALL

Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi’s CRYSTAL BALL fundraising gala. It’s a 1,200-person black tie event held on January 21, 2023, in Southaven, Mississippi. It’s been voted the Best Fundraising Event of the Year in previous years.
 
We honor a notable Mississippian every year with our STAR OF HOPE award. Look at the impressive listing of past honorees under the 2023 CB Sponsorship Packet- Morgan Freeman, Archie and Oliva Manning, B.B. King, Marty Stuart, Sela Ward etc. Jimmy and Wade Creekmore who are the founders of C SPIRE! Bob Pittman who founded MTV. Bradford Cobb who is Katy Perry’s manager. Jesse Holland who wrote the Black Panther series. All have had a positive impact on Mississippi.
 
This year are VERY pleased that ERIN and BEN NAPIER from Laurel, Mississippi have accepted and will attend the Crystal Ball. They have a show on HGTV called HOME TOWN, which I am sure you are familiar with. The Community Foundation thought you would like the opportunity to support the gala with an AUCTION ITEM that would showcase your region of the Mississippi and/or Tennessee. Examples of auction items we currently have are listed below:

1. Two-night B&B stay in Laurel, $250 shopping at Mercantile stores, and a one-hour private visit with Erin and Ben in Ben’s workshop;
2. Two-night stay in Liverpool hosted by Julia Baird, John Lennon’s sister, who will tour four people at Cavern Club, Strawberry Fields, and Magical Bus Tour;
3. 30-minute Zoom (or in person depending on COVID) with Martha Quinn, one of the original VJs from MTV;
4. Dove hunt for four in Argentina;
5. Seaside, Florida cottage vacation for a week;
6. Two Alabama and Mississippi Gulf Coast vacation stays;
7. Vacation package to Charleston, SC;
8. Lunch with two-time Blues Grammy winner Bobby Rush;
9. Tour of Royal Studio with “Boo” Mitchell in Memphis;
10. 4 iHeartRadio Music Festival two day passes in Las Vegas;
11. Vacation packages that feature activities in counties of Bolivar, Tunica, Tallahatchie, Leflore, etc. as way to showcase our regional offerings;
