Event Description:
This program is FREE to all residents living in the City of Southaven that are between the ages of 8 to 12 years old. To register, come by the Southaven Fire Department Administration Office located at 8710 Northwest Drive and fill out an application. This program is open to the first 20 children that turn in applications. Priority will be given to children that have not attended previously.
Fire Academy for Kids is a fun-filled educational week in which the children will learn and apply several aspects of life safety including motor vehicle safety, fire safety, first aid, bicycle safety as well as a small experience of what it is like to be a firefighter. The week will end with a graduation ceremony for family and friends to attend.
