Life Skills & Career Fair for Women

Leap Into Your Full Potential: Life Skills & Career Fair for women is a wonderful event for hiring managers, recruiters, and women of DeSoto County looking to find a career or get back to work. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn in Southaven at 280 Marathon Way on February 29, 2024. The Leap Day event will be from 10am to 6pm to allow women to have the opportunity to hear of job openings and learn skills to help them more forward in their career. There will be companies available at this event with the following: financial & tax help, social media etiquette, resume building, interview skills and companies with job opportunities.

If you are a potential vendor looking to have a booth at this event: booth fees for DCBW Members are $50 which includes one lunch. The non-member fee is $75 which includes one lunch. Additional lunches are $25. We will also be offering a reduced membership to our DCBW Organization for $50 which will allow you to attend our January through May luncheons for the member price.

We will also be collecting gently used professional clothing to offer to women as they attend the career fair. This will help them prepare for interviews or headshots by having professional clothing that they may not already have. Please email dcbwcommunityoutreach@gmail.com or call 662-609-1111 for pick ups or you can bring the items to our January 3rd or February 7th DCBW luncheons. After our event the remaining clothing will be given to the Warrior Center in Olive Branch which is a center for women recovering from addictions.
